Tragic Ceremony is an occult slasher from 1972. It involves a black mass slaughter, possession, revenge and possibly the Devil as the owner of a petrol station.
Cipriani’s score reaches pure melodrama from being barely noticeable. Camille Keaton stars, a whole six years before her notorious lead in I Spit on Your Grave. The bloodletting would give Fulci a run for his money, and Riccardo Freda gets his money’s worth by repeating the same head-slicing scene several times in a flashback.
An interesting if uneven piece of Euro exploitation.
